Debate recap: Congress needs to take the hard votes
Oct 15, 2026·By Bobby Wilson
On Wednesday I joined Congressman Womack and Democrat Ryerse on stage in Conway. My message was simple: Congress has stopped doing its job. It is supposed to pass 12 spending bills on time. Instead we get stopgaps and one giant bill nobody reads. Every agency gets an automatic raise before anyone votes. In 2032, Social Security checks are cut by law, and nobody wants to vote on a fix. I would protect current seniors, and I'd make Congress vote in the open on everything else. Both parties sell fear: vote against the other guy. I'm asking you to vote for something.
